Aikido Fellowship of VA
Haven't posted in quite a while - but things are going well. The Fellowship is growing steadily. Attended a seminar a short while ago up in Fredericksburg - it was very nice. Teachers from various styles got together to share ideas. Was a great chance to compare and contrast styles that I had heard about, but not had the opportunity to train in.

Back in my day (1978-82 and 1987-90) the martial arts training was pretty restricted to Army Combative Training however we were encouraged to work with what ever was available. I studied JKD and did quite a bit of Muay Thai. On secondments, we worked with the SEAL and Ranger teams in Germany and picked up quite a lot from their training. They were pretty into something called Hwarang Do.
